Floating on a sea of untamed emotions
Uncharted, beyond reach of all other oceans
I slowly lose my tenuous hold
And fall further in love with you.
No gentle, caressing zephyr breeze, this!
But a tempest-toss'd gale
No "Happily Ever After" in a state of bliss!
But drowning in a state of devotion
No butterflies, flitting in an airborne parade
But struggles, to survive a storm, self-made
No music playing, no sonnets recited
But falling deeper into the maelstrom of a love, unrequited.
